Mount Airy, MD - The Mount Airy Women in Motion–a women’s business networking group—was the first to sponsor the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Central Maryland some six years ago when the walk began in 2011. Since then, the group that has remained a steady flagship sponsor collectively raised $41,995! The group is reaching for the stars with a fundraising goal of $50,000 this year.
“It was important for this women's group of business leaders to wrap its arms around this event since breast cancer impacts so many women and men in our region,” conveyed Sheri Cates, founder of the Mount Airy Women in Motion. “I know in my heart that through the tremendous community support we can reach our fundraising goal.”
With innovative fundraising events, such as the now annual “Feel the Churn Butter Aerobics,” the Group has been able raise holds an annual raffle benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Central Maryland.
