"We are just in awe of all of the support we've gotten this year," said Sheri Cates, Founder, Mount Airy Women in Motion, whose networking group has been a flagship sponsor of the Mount Airy Making Strides for Breast Cancer since 2011. The group of women business owners from the Greater Mount Airy, Maryland region aimed high this year with a few innovative fund raising events, such as two Feel the Churn Butter Aerobics events and a raffled basket full of gifts contributed from its many members. In addition to the many individuals who made the fundraising effort possible, major donors include: Walmart, Southern States, South Mountain Creamery, Dairy Maid Dairy, Planet Fitness, Blossom & Basket Boutique, Ace Hardware and Twin Arch Self Storage.
